BEARD GUITARS:

Contact Paul Beard:  1-877-737-6448 or www.beardguitars.com

Frank Poindexter:

www.frankpoindexter.com

Best Buddy in NC & his Wolfe!

(Add Pam, his wife & Bobby and Bobbie Wolfe to the list, too!)

I designed this CD album cover, CD face and case insert for Frank.  What fun!  I was honored.  Great album released very late in 2004 and a must have if you love dobro.  Get it at www.frankpoindexter.com website or County Sales.

Frank's Wolfe above on the cover is #69 and made from 100% Brazilian Rosewood with gold plated and nicely engraved coverplate and parts.  It is about 10 years old and just gets better and better with age.  Kinda like Frank.  If you like the dobro on the Rice Brothers albums and live concert recordings, that's probably Frank playing the dobro on 99% of the songs!   Check his website and you can read about Frank's long career as a pioneer of the dobro sounds we all love today.

 Johnny Bellar:

Would you like to talk to Johnny Bellar?   Well he likes, er make that "loves," fishing and dobros (tip - wink!)  and loves people.

Call him and he'll chat your ear off... but please restrict your calls to ONLY Monday thru Sunday, 7 days a week and only 24 hours a day, Please.  (615) 397-5654.  If you miss him, leave a message and he will call you back.  No poo poo.  Tell him Rez told you to call and you receive an extra 10 minute bonus chat.  Hey, this is a dobro man's dobro man.  He is from Neptune.

ALERT!  Stolen Wolfe!
THIS WOLFE RESONATOR GUITAR BELOW WAS STOLEN A WHILE BACK FROM A FRIEND OF BOBBY WOLFE IN A HOME BURGLARY.  IF YOU SEE IT, PLEASE CALL BOBBY at his shop in Davidson, NC at 704-892-5485.  Very distinctive Red Brazilian wood and coloring.  Poinsettia/Lyre coverplate.  Maple neck.

Notes from Bobby "FloridaBob":

Yes, we know Dobro(R) is a registered trademark owned by Gibson.  However, most of us in the resonator guitar warp refer to all of the reso guitars generically as being a "dobro."  No offense Gibson.

Enjoy!  If you have a photo of yours that you want to share, email it to us at info@bluegrassnotes.com and we will try to add it as space permits.

We reserve the right to blatantly promote any and all of these fine instrument makers and products.  It's our site and we say what we want.  If you have a problem with that, sorry.  When you have your own site, you too can be King.  Send the pix and if you have comments for your pix, send them too.

The comments and descriptions on this page and all others are our own personal comments and any who disagree have that right to be wrong.  ("It's a joke son" ---Foghorn Leghorn)

FREE DESKTOP IMAGE BELOW:

THIS IS A SCREENSAVER/DESKTOP SHOT FOR YOUR COMPUTER BELOW SET AT 640 x 480 and it will scale to your own desktop!  Enjoy.  The dobro is an old Regal, circa 1980.  The color reflecting in the coverplate is from a stained glass lamp nearby.

GET STARTED:  Right click on the photo and save as into your WINDOWS directory.  Then, right click on your current desktop and choose PROPERTIES... then select this as your desktop.  Bingo!
